Frequently asked questions

Finding the right appointment

What is the difference between a specialist assessment and a podiatry appointment?

A specialist assessment is for pain, injury, instability or movement-related problems. A podiatry appointment is generally more suitable for nails, corns, callus, skin problems and routine foot care.

Which specialist assessment should I choose?

Most patients can begin with the £85 Specialist Foot & Ankle Assessment. The £130 combined option includes a focused MSK ultrasound scan during the same appointment.

What happens if ultrasound is recommended after the £85 assessment?

You can return for a £45 focused scan, keeping the total cost at the same £130 combined price.

Do you offer treatment for ingrowing toenails and verrucae?

Yes. The clinic offers assessment and treatment for ingrowing toenails, including nail surgery where appropriate, along with verruca assessment and treatment options.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. Patients can book directly. Where medical review or another investigation is more appropriate, this will be explained and an onward referral can be recommended.

Who will I see?

Specialist foot and ankle and ultrasound appointments are provided by Tim Greenwood. Other podiatry appointments are offered by the clinic’s podiatry team according to the service booked.

Book the right care for your feet

Choose specialist assessment for pain or injury, or book podiatry care for nails, skin and routine foot health.
