What happens at the appointment

Assessment first, then the right next step

The appointment is designed to move beyond a symptom label and develop a clinically reasoned working diagnosis.

1

Understand the problem

We discuss symptoms, activity, previous injuries, treatment history and what you need to return to.

2

Test what is relevant

Clinical and special tests are selected according to the structures and conditions suspected.

3

Agree the plan

You receive a clear explanation of findings and the most sensible treatment or investigation route.

Frequently asked questions

Choosing the right assessment

Which appointment should I book?

Most patients can begin with the £85 Specialist Foot & Ankle Assessment. Choose the £130 combined option where a focused ultrasound scan is likely to be useful from the outset.

Is the full 3D gait assessment included?

No. A separate 3D gait and whole-lower-limb assessment may be recommended where broader movement, strength or sporting factors require investigation.

Will I receive treatment at the first appointment?

The priority is assessment and a clear plan. Advice, rehabilitation, footwear guidance or an appropriate orthotic option may be provided or arranged where suitable.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can book directly. Where another investigation or specialist opinion is more appropriate, this will be discussed.
